Director of Planning Services, Tom Goodrum, has over 15 years of experience covering urban and rural planning for commercial development, residential development, re-development, conservation development, parks and recreation design, regional policies, and many other specialties.

At MFRA Tom oversees projects, from initial contact through final approval, providing guidance throughout the planning process to create a favorable project. He is the focal person in gathering information from communities, outside government agencies, consultants and affected parties. He uses neighborhood meetings and other resources to effectively explain the facts of the project and to provide appropriate measures in resolving issues.

Tom's duties performed within these projects include project management, site design, government liaison, code and regulation interpretation, coordination with special interest groups and municipalities, public presentation, report and summary writing
